Yes its true, the corporate help desk sucks!! The worst part of it is it’s the organization I am working with
I am an Automation Tester so by mistake my password was entered incorrect for several numbers of times which made my account to get locked.
It’s my mistake; I was in no good mood to check the input file though.
Actually I was not allowed to login to application assuming a system error I logged off my machine and tried to login then I found this!
So happily I called help desk assuming they would resolve in couple of minutes.
A decent guy from helpdesk asked me my details and did something and asked me to try, still it didn’t work.
I understood system guys are showing lackadaisical response on this, as expected he asked me to try after 15 mins.
I took a small break and came back to try it after 20 mins, this time my user ID is DISABLED.
When I again called him regarding the user id he said it’s not in our scope??
He said it’s not under our control only if employee leaves we make his user ID disabled.
I got confused; I asked whether I should contact someone!!
He said he would resolve the issue in 15 mins.
I called him again in 30 mins no body picks the call.
Adding fuel to my irritation every time I call I hear “Please be aware that this call has been monitored or recorded for quality assurance purposes” what’s there to record?
Where is quality?
At last by taking another person’s system I raised a request then it got resolved in 5 mins.
Why the hell we have telephones and help desk numbers if that is of no use?
By the way the problem is still persisting I never know when it will be solved.
